Details and Requirements


Introduction

The Hazelnut Software partner programme allows a software vendor to generate a significantly greater sales margin than is typically available in the industry.

The programme is not a standard reseller or distributor arrangement. Instead, in return for a fixed monthly fee, an organisation is free to sell the applicable products and retain all revenue from those sales. This fee is independent of the volume of software sold, and is payable in advance.

Hazelnut Software will carry out all fulfilment and will optionally provide technical support as required direct to the end-user.

Applicable Products

The partner programme is available for ServerInternals and ServerAssist.

For ServerInternals, only the managed licence edition of the software is included. The full licence edition is included as part of ServerAssist Professional Corporate but is not sold separately.

For ServerAssist, the Professional Per-Server, Professional Corporate and all Workgroup editions are included.

Pricing

A participating organisation is free to set the price at which they sell the software to end users at any level.

Renewals

Sales of support and maintenance are not covered by the monthly or annual fee, but are available for purchase from Hazelnut Software to be resold by the partner. All support and maintenance is available to partners at 60% of current list price. Support and maintenance sales are only available where the original licence sale was made by the partner.

Availability

The partner programme is available to organisations of all sizes and from all regions.

Fees

The programme offers three levels, with differing monthly fees and a maximum sales limit in a month based on the programme level. An up-front annual fee offers the same benefits as paying monthly, but with a discount from the individual monthly fees.

Should sales in a month exceed the limit for the current level, the organisation will be automatically moved to the appropriate level, and the fees for that level will be payable. This new level will remain in force for a minimum period of three further months.

The partner programme does not require a long-term commitment, and an organisation can leave the programme at any time. In this case, any fees already paid will not be returned and the organisation will be able to gain the all benefits of the programme until the end of the period covered by such fees.

Note that the maximum monthly sales value above is based on list prices as published by Hazelnut Software, not the actual price paid by the end user to the partner.

FAQ

Do you offer a standard reseller arrangement?

The programme outlined is the only one available. We want to work with organisations that are committed to introducing our product line to a broad audience, and a standard reseller agreement can result in products being offered for sale, but not being actively marketed or promoted. The programme is deliberately structured to offer significant returns for organisations that can effectively generate sales, but to not be financially viable for those that simply maintain extensive software catalogues without a focus on revenue generation in a particular area.

Can I get NFR licences for sales demonstrations?

Participants in the partner programme are entitled to NFR licences for all applicable products. These licences are solely for sales, marketing and demonstration purposes and cannot be used in any live or production environments.

Can I sell competing products from other vendors?

Yes you can - we do not want to restrict your commercial activities in any way.
