Introduction

The Hazelnut Software hosting provider programme is intended for organisations that want to extend the range of services that they offer to their customers.

By leveraging the capabilities of ServerAssist, a hosting company can provide additional services to their customers, going far beyond that which their competitors are offering, setting them apart in a crowded marketplace.

In return for a usage-based, fixed monthly or fixed annual fee, an organisation can use the ServerAssist software to provide reporting, monitoring, alerting and management facilities to their customers.

The organisation retains all revenue from all fees charged to customers for the additional services offered.

Integration

For an effective deployment, integration with an organisation's customer and configuration databases will be required. The software has been developed to make this as simple as possible, and two days of training and development support will be provided to enable the organisation's technical staff to fully understand the information that will need to be provided to the ServerAssist software for it to operate in a seamless fashion.

Rebranding

It is possible to change all relevant aspects of the software. Not only can the name, logo, colours and default installation directories be changed, but any text or graphics in the user interface or the documentation can also be customised as required. If a suitable digital certificate is made available, all executables and installation packages can be digitally signed with the organisation's name. Note that any copyright notices that reference Hazelnut Software will be retained.

Fees

The programme fees are in three parts. There is a one-off fee to cover the assistance with initial integration, an optional one-off fee to cover an initial setup of the rebranding, and three different ways to cover the on-going use of the software.

The intial integration assistance fee is £750.

The rebranding fee is £1,250. Note that there is no obligation for the software to be rebranded. In this case, the ServerAssist branding from the base software will be retained.

The on-going usage of the software can be on a metered basis, or for a fixed monthly or annual fee. The per system fee uses ServerAssist's subscription metering technology to record activity to the nearest minute, and usage is charged on that basis. Alternatively, a monthly or annual fee allows the organisation to offer services enabled by the software on an unlimited number of systems for a fixed amount. The up-front annual fee offers the same benefits as paying monthly, but with a discount from the individual monthly fees.

Metered usage fees are billed in arrears, and unlimited usage fees are billed in advance. Use of the software is only permitted during the period covered by the fees paid. When paying on a per system basis, the minimum fee will be £250.

Consultancy Services

With the exception of the initial training and development support, integration of an organisation's internal systems with ServerAssist is the responsibility of the organisation itself, and any such work is not covered by the programme fees. Hazelnut Software can provide consultancy and development services to assist with integration if required, but this would be subject to a separate agreement.
